Hello, my name is Rubin Kim, a second-grade student at Dongtan Yeoul Elementary School. I was honored to receive the Grand Prize with a perfect score in the 50th Seongdae English Competition (Fall).

I started English when I was three years old. I was obsessed with English and I liked it very much. So, I went to an English kindergarten at the age of four. I read and liked many American books and movies, unlike other Korean children.

The books I like today are The Wild Robot, Mr. Popper’s Penguins, and The Hobbit. When my parents told me I had to do this English test, I got excited since I knew I would get the best award of all. When practicing, I tried my best, and I didn’t always get the grades I wanted.

On the day of this important test, I gained confidence by thinking that I am better than others. I did the test, and it was easier than I thought it would be. I wrote my answers on a piece of paper when I was finished. At home, my dad graded my test. It was perfect!

I waited until Pepero Day in order to know my exact grade. Just like my hypothesis, it was 100! I will work harder and get a 100 on the math test next year.
